Cross Road Overpass/Underpass

Definition:
Underpasses and overpasses physically separate intersecting roadways so that both the corridor and the cross-street traffic are free-flow. It’s important to note, however, that with removal of the intersection, access to the primary roadway is also removed.
Benefits:
- Improves traffic flow along both the major and minor roadways.
- Enhances safety by eliminating all conflict points.
- Eliminates access between major and minor roadways.
